While peace-loving people around the world hold their breath with fear that World War III might break out at any time in multiple hot spots, most Americans (72%) aren’t too worried about it, according to a recent Trotter poll.

Trotter interviewed some ordinary Americans about the survey.

“I don’t think World War III is going to have a big effect on my life,” said Angus Merchant, 44, of San Diego. “It’s not like the U.S. dollar will ever stop being the world’s reserve currency.”

“As long as the price of gas doesn’t go up too much then I’m not really worried about it. These things happen, and America always comes out on top. USA! USA!”

“The military hasn’t drafted people into the army since the Vietnam war. This will be a walk in the park,” said Rufus Jameson, 21 of Cleveland. “I don’t think it’s that hard for America to fight Assad in Syria as well as Assad’s mortal enemy, ISIS, at the same time, and half a dozen other countries, while blindfolded. Even Obama can beat Syria or whoever. It’s a walk in the park.”

“And whoever it is we’re fighting, they probably deserve it. Nobody f-cks with America. Even if we start it,” continued Jameson.

Alice Cooper, 59, said: “Americans are champions of freedom and democracy. We stand against genocide, unless it’s genocide against our enemies, then it’s OK.”
