South of Brooklyn
west of the Hudson
there’s a land packed
with pissed off men
and upright women
who don’t like things
the way they are
in rust belt towns,
exurb villages,
red state, alt hate,
millions of Muslims are
marching on Michigan,
gay border hoppers
hounding evangelicals,
feminists, ISIS,
a nation in crisis,
stop and frisk,
our guns at risk,
Benghazi strife,
right to life
in the land
of the free,
home of
the me,
I’m feeling pilloried,
blaming Hillary,
stuff’s got to change,
Donald’s deranged,
but at least he’s white,
it will be all right.
