CHEYENNE, WYOMING – Former Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin shot former Vice President Dick Cheney in the face yesterday in what is being called a “tragic hunting accident.”
Palin was visiting the former Vice President Cheney in order to convince him that she has a “bright political future,” perhaps even a shot at the 2020 Republican nomination for President.
Palin and Cheney agreed to go hunting together to discuss her future. Aides say that after a loud disagreement, Palin accidentally shot Cheney in the face.
Cheney is in critical condition in Cheyenne General Hospital. In addition to head trauma, Cheney is suffering from strange psychological symptoms, including shouting “Out, out, damned spot!” while scrubbing himself clean from imaginary blood.
Palin laughed off the incident remarking that: “If there’s one person who understands that shooting someone in the face while hunting is just an accident, that person is Dick Cheney. Golly, he’s shot his own friends in the face at least once that I know of.”
Palin was referring to the time when Cheney shot Harry Whittington, a 78-year-old Texas attorney, while they were hunting quail.
“I’m glad Dick is being such a good sport about this. I hope it doesn’t influence his decision on whether to help me with my 2020 Presidential run.”
